If you have been here before and don’t want to go to the summit of Cadillac Mountain this is the tour for you. We will focus on the granite coastline of Acadia National Park with the addition of seeing communities outside of the park.
Spend time in the summer colonies of Seal and Northeast Harbor, including the Asticou Gardens and a drive up Somes Sound (the only fjord of the eastern seaboard).

You will see all of the famous sites in Acadia on the park loop road including time at the summit of Summit of Cadillac Mountain. You will drive the park loop road along pink granite coastline to Thunder Hole and Otter Cliffs. Then go outside of Acadia to explore the more exclusive and uncrowded parts of our island. The notable families didn’t donate all of their land to Acadia! See the outsides of the “summer cottages” of the Rockefellers and other celebrities. Take in the views and breathe in the fresh salt air on Seal Harbor beach. Drive along the famous Somes Sound and stroll through the famous Asticou Garden! This tour builds onto the 3 and 4 hour options, starting with the highlights of Acadia National Park, including Summit of Cadillac Mountain and the sites along the Park Loop Road. We then continue out of the park to explore the gorgeous coastline past the “summer cottages” into stunning Northeast Harbor. We will take your group up famous Somes Sound through historic Somesville, the oldest community on the island. This tour has the addition of visiting the fishing community of Southwest Harbor to see the lobster boats pulling into a working lobster pound. Have the opportunity for a fantastic lunch with the freshest seafood available as a choice. Stop whenever you want to take pictures or just take in the views with our local guides showing the best locations.

We can meet you at the tender piers for cruise ships, at any hotel in downtown Bar Harbor, or the Visitor Center in Hulls Cove. For a small fee we can pick you up from other locations on the island, just call us and let us know!

We also specialize in touring on the western side of Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island. If you have been here before and want to tour off the park loop road, we can show you stunning scenery of Acadia National Park that most tourists miss.
If you have a special place you would like to see, let us know. We will be happy to take you there. Our drivers narrate the tours with history and facts about the geology of the area, topped off with local tales that you won’t hear anywhere else.
When you tour with us parking is not a problem, we will come to you! We will meet you at the tender piers for cruise ships, at any hotel if it is in downtown Bar Harbor, and we will meet also meet at the Visitor Center in Hulls Cove.
For a small fee we will pick up anywhere on the island, so that includes the piers of all the other towns and out of Bar Harbor hotels.
We are happy to bring you back to your starting place or drop you off in downtown Bar Harbor and you can grab a taxi or bus back to their location after the tour.
